Nick Cave forms new band, Grinderman

Goth pioneer Nick Cave has assembled a new supergroup of sorts that he plans on debuting at All Tomorrow's Parties in April. Grinderman will feature Martyn Casey, Warren Ellis and Jim Sclavunos. Attentive readers will note that all three are prominent Bad Seeds and may be wondering why they're creating a whole new group. The band members claim they're offering a whole new sound here, and the track made available on their MySpace page seems to prove them right. Expect an album in March 2007.
