So, apparently The Who are maybe not performing at this season's Super Bowl, as the NFL went to work this weekend claiming that they haven't chosen the act yet. The Who seem like too random of a band to be pulled out of thin air, and they're the only still-around dinosaurs to not perform at the big game yet, so I'm skeptical that it won't be The Who who are announced as the entertainment for when the Saints meet the Bengals (Whoops, wasn't supposed to announce that, but the Super Bowl has already been taped in front of a live studio audience. I don't want to tell you who wins, but take the spread.). [Daily Swarm]
The Who= most overrated band in history and the main reason I hate CSI: Tokyo Drift. Coldplay is greatest stadium band that doesn't begin w/ "R" (seriously). If I'm in charge, I go w/ TVotRadio.
oceanRain...surely you jest! ANY 1980s arena band would totally out rock Coldplay--and that's giving Coldplay their due.
You have to remember the audience. Most of the people watching likely came of age in the 1970s and 80s. Journey. REO Speedwagon. On and on...these guys would BE the Super Bowl.

If The Who are the halftime act this year ,I guess next year it will be either steppenwolfe or Jethro tull since their all that's left from the sixties!
