Kid Cudi is dropping the doom and gloom of his debut for something more "playful and fun" on his next record. He is shooting for the "complete opposite of what Man on the Moon was," which he called "so serious." That's what the Cleveland native tells MTV in the above interview. He apparently has five songs under his belt for the upcoming album, too, with features from Pharrell and Snoop Dogg. That right there sounds like an automatic recipe for a hit, though here's hoping it's not just "Beautiful" 2.0 with Cudi and Pharrell "singing." Perhaps they're making another ode to smoking weed. At least, I hope so, because "Hyyerr," which is all about lighting up, is one of Cudi's debut's best tracks.
