Unfortunately, Microsoft has absolutely nothing to do with this ad, and you are likely to never ever see this on tv as a real commercial. When I first saw this, I thought Microsoft was finally tired of getting spanked by the iPod, having Macs take up a bigger percentage of the personal computing market share every year, and just in general having PCs (and thus Windows) painted as the option of out-of-touch nerds. I thought coupling a Digitalism remix with a guy blowing paint out of his butt was their way of saying, "We're mad as hell, and we're not gonna take it anymore!" Well, I thought wrong, but the clip is still pretty intense.
