Is it possible to make yourself a supergroup just by the sheer number of related side projects? Will curious kids in the future be thrilled to find out that the guy from Sunset Rubdown and the guy from Handsome Furs made an album together? These things are not for me to say. What I can tell you is that somehow, through Olympic quality time management, Wolf Parade has been banging out some new material. The 3 tracks, and the Seattle concert which contained them popped up a couple days ago over at long running indie blog You Ain't No Picasso. Dan Boeckner leads the big and messy "Bed's Exploding," and Spencer Krug takes the reigns for both "Cathedral Bells" and "Things I Don't Know" because he's a show-off.
No concrete word yet on when we might see a follow up to 2005's rad Apologies to the Queen Mary, but we'll be all over it, so don't worry.
