This might end up in the "Thanks for Trying" category, but the National Association of Ticket Brokers and the National Consumers League have set up a website opposing the merger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation. The ostensible purpose is to raise awareness of the possible outcomes of the deal, none of which sound good for people who like live music at a reasonable price. In a perfect world, the "members" of Congress mentioned on the website will protect their constituents, but the only one who has an actual link to the website is Bill Pascrell of New Jersey. Hopefully his leadership will be enough in the coming storm. [Pitchfork]
