New Web app Band Metrics to gauge popularity of music

Band Metrics is a new, free Web application that will help musicians and bands more accurately measure the success of their music. Hypebot describes Band Metrics as "Google Analytics for musicians," while the new site's founder says Metrics "will be a great solution for independent artists to understand the drivers of their music's popularity and their fans' sentiments, while also helping artists manage their digital identities."

Band Metrics is currently in beta, but you can sign up at the site to receive reports on their progress. [Via Hypebot]
