The leaky leak has begun for The National's upcoming record, The Boxer. This one's called "Fake Empire" and it's gorgeous. Our only complaint is that it's too damn short. Is there any band who knows how to use their drummer better than these guys? (You could make an argument for The Walkmen, but other than that, we're not listening.)

i agree with you in the statement that the national know how to use their drummer better than any other band [although grizzly bear should be put in that category, too]. have you heard the end of "minor star of rome" where it's just the drums? it's pretty astounding stuff.
