Kelis has been working with dubstep producer Skream on her first album since 2010’s Flesh Tone , and her new track “Distance” (which premiered yesterday on a London radio station) proves the collaboration is working out just fine. “Distance” combines a brittle electro backing track with ’90s R&B girl group vocals. According to an NME interview with Kelis, she’s “midway through” recording the album. Listen to the radio rip below.
