Back in March, the recently reformed Strokes announced that their fourth LP would be out in September. That date has proven to be optimistic, as the band has now announced that the album won't be out until March 2011 at the earliest. Frontman Julian Casablancas said the album is about half done, and "distractions" (probably like his solo career) are to blame for the delay.
I guess the question is are there a lot of people really pushing the band to get this one out? By the time it lands, it'll have been four years since the last Strokes LP, which in music trends time is something like 26 years. Really, in most Strokes fans hearts, as long as the band tours a lot soon, that'll be enough. A new album would probably just be an okay bonus. [Spinner]
not surprised that this got pushed back. i don't think anything they put out will match their debut but i still look forward to all their releases
