Old '80s power-pop bands don't die, they just go on to cover the Fab Four. As the title might suggest, the Smithereens' Meet the Smithereens, out Tuesday on Koch, takes a straight run through Meet the Beatles. That means you get your "I Want to Hold Your Hand," your "I Saw Her Standing There," even "Till There was You," which, come to think of it, already was a cover.
Taking on such a task is questionable, but at least that's a cool bobblehead cover. Dwight Schrute would love it.
