Well, it sounds like Velvet Revolver haven't yet found their own Arnel Pineda to replace the douche-ly departed Scott Weiland. But in the interim, it's not like Slash is just sitting around polishing his latest line of electric guitars. The erstwhile drunk top hat of Guns N' Roses and current, de facto leader of VR has announced plans for a new solo album. According to NME, he's demoed 14 songs and recruited a slew of singers to appear on the as-yet-unnamed record, though no word on who they are. Slash is also mum on any new details on the Velvet revolution that ousted Weiland, though he suggests his solo joint might drop before we ever see anything from Revolver. Slash: master of the obvious. And Les Pauls. [NME]
