It's hard to think of a more groundbreaking album that never had a follow-up than the Sex Pistols' Never Mind The Bollocks (and no, The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle does not count as an official second album). With that in mind, it's somewhat tantalizing to consider Sex Pistols bassist/composer Glen Matlock's recent comments to the effect that a new Pistols album might be within the realm of possibility. "We'll meet again in the new year and see what we want do to" said Matlock, who has often performed with his reunited bandmates over the last several years. While that's not exactly the kind of affirmation that would encourage anyone to bet the ranch on an '09 Pistols release, Matlock did add "We all got ideas between us," so unless those ideas are about how to start a So You Want To Be A Sex Pistol reality show or something (go ahead and laugh, like it couldn't happen), there may be hope after all.

i really don't mean to be judgemental, but the first thought that comes to mind is... greed.
i'm actually more into the "so you want to be a sex pistol" idea. it would make them more money too.
