New Peter Bjorn And John Album; "Pure Pop-Rock"
It’s been four years since Sweden’s Peter Bjorn and John broke out with Writer’s Block and “Young Folks” (forever christened as “the whistle song.”) And last year’s darkened, more experimental Living Thingpolarized indie pop purists. However their sixth LP, entitled Gimme Some has the namesake John Eriksson describing the sound as a “pure pop-rock album.” Makes sense considering the band has enlisted longtime Cardigans collaborator Per Sunding for production. Expect the new record in March of next year. [P4k]
