New Paul Westerberg features 49 minutes of music for 49 cents

There's been a lot of hoopla over the rerelease campaign for The Replacements  catalog that will come in September. But somehow a new business model release from the former 'Mats headman has slipped through the cracks. Now on Amazon, you can download 49.00, a 43-minute, single track album from Paul Westerberg at the grand total of 49¢. A Westerberg fansite broke the news 48 hours before its unexpected release on Saturday, and now has come out with an unofficial track listing:

01. (Tell Me) Who You Gonna Marry? (3:57)
02. With or Without Her (3:01)
03. Something in My Life is Missing (3:42)
04. Mother’s Day (3:32)
05. As Yet to be Determined Noise (0:06)
06. Devil Raised a Good Boy (3:13)
07. You’re My Girl (0:24)
08. Everyone’s Stupid (2:37)
09. The one that says Fuck (0:09)
10. What Do You Want (0:20)
11. Now You Gone (0:44)
12. Goodnight Sweet Prince (3:54)
13. Guess I’ll Be Going Then (0:08)
14. Out of My System (3:22)
15. Be My Darling (3:44)
16. Money Goes Straight to Her Heart (0:12)
17. Hey, Hey (1:12)
18. Squeaky Obscene (1:11)
19. Six Seconds of Stuff (0:06)
20. It’ll Never Die (4:04)
21. Back To Saturn X Radio Report II (0:56)
22. I Think I Love you b/w Something I Can’t Discern (1:05)
23. Johnny Said So (2:09)

It has the Raconteurs beat in terms of short notice. It has Radiohead beat in terms of pricing. So why has virtually no one reported on 49:00 yet?

It's also US-only, which is eminently disappointing for myself, a Westerberg fan from the next country over.

The closest you'll get to" The White Album" by a boy from the U.S.A.!

I'm back in college tomorrow, I want to do this all over again. Thanks PW
