New Order Reunited In Brussels (Video)
New Order’s plans to play live without the distinctive bass sound of Peter Hook got underway in Brussels in Belgium last night, and video from the show has already surfaced online. Tom Chapman, who plays in Bernard Sumner’s Bad Lieutenant project, filled in for Hook, and Gillian Gilbert returned to play keyboards for the first time in over 10 years. The results can be heard below in some fan-shot videos, which are culled from a 15-song set that included many classic tracks from the band’s catalog. The absence of Hook is barely detectable in the sound, but his larger-than-life presence on stage is definitely missed. [via Slicing Up Eyeballs]
