New Order DVD to stream on Imeem tonight

Peter Hook and Co. have been all over the fucking place lately. Between the recent DVD release of Control and the Joy Division documentary, moderating panels on Tony Wilson and radio spots with prominent bloggers, there seems to be no end to the homage of the Madchester legends. It's not going to end anytime soon, as New Order's Live In Glasgow DVD hits the market on Tuesday. Today, however, you can get a sneek peak at the video on Imeem (with an intro from Hooky himself).

The concert is particularly notable in that the concert featured an exceedingly rare performance of old Joy Division songs like "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Transmission" in addition to New Order classics like "Blue Monday" and "Bizarre Love Triangle." You should check it out, even if the oversaturation makes you want to vomit out synth punk at this point.

New Order have been performing "Transmission" and "Love Will Tear Us Apart" on stage for the past decade or more. Hell, they even recorded both of them for their iTunes Originals set last year.

*yawn* how many more multiple versions of the same crap are we going to be fed? Everyone knows the best versions of these songs were done by Joy Division already.

How about reissuing all those singles and b-sides and other things that have been out of print for decades?
