By the sound of "My Rights Versus Yours," taken from the New Pornographers' forthcoming album Challengers (slated for an August 21st release), A.C. Newman and Co. have lessened the "power" to "pop" ratio but retained their bigtime arranging chops. This one has a lovely "Flagpole Sitta" type lilt to it and the typically lovely twin Newman/Case harmonies. Does anyone else feel like this is the most sincere Newman has ever sounded?
