I used to fantasize about discovering a band before anyone else, but I have to say, it feels just great to have jumped on the Fields bandwagon just as the British/Icelandic folk-rock band is surfacing on mainstream radars. I bought their excellent full-length debut Everything Last Winter last month, and just tonight I heard "Song for the Fields" on the big indie station in L.A. Serendipity ho: just ran across a few alternate versions of three Fields tunes from Winter, and they are jangle-remixo-rific! Jump-followers will be rewarded with all three.
