New KISS Album, <i>Sonic Boom</i>, to Be Wal-Mart Exclusive

Way back in December of 2008, it was announced that Kiss, legendary clowns musicians were working on their first album since 1998, a fact that no one could verify because no one knew they put an album out in 1998. But they totally did. And that new album they were working on, Sonic Boom, is in the make-up-covered can, and the band has announced that the album will be a Wal-Mart exclusive when it is released on Oct. 6.

The move makes sense since KISS probably make most of their money these days from the sales of KISS boxers at Wal-Mart. But the Wal-Mart exclusive might be shrewd for a different reason: the band still hasn't ever had a number one album (this from a band that has a coffin!), and by joining up with Wal-Mart, the idea is that that will happen with ease.
