New Justice Song Widely Assumed to be Another Fake

A new Justice song spread like wildfire across blogs yesterday, titled “Beginning of the End.” Or did it? Comments sections were quickly littered with comments claiming the track was a fake, in much the same way that alleged new tracks by Daft Punk were quickly debunked.

The song was apparently sent out by Ed Banger, although replies to the email address promo@edbangerrecords.com were bounced back. So, it appears that someone recorded a fake Justice song and set up a fake email address in order to gain a degree of notoriety—and judging by the amount of postings about the song (including this one), it was a job well done.

Unless, of course, it actually does turn out to be a new Justice song—in which case, this is a poor facsimile of the band’s past triumphs. And now we’ve covered all possible outcomes, the track can be heard above in the embedded YouTube clip, which comes complete with more comments about how it’s a fake. Is this how the music industry is going to be in 2010? If so, it’s going to be a confusing ride.
