Whoa, who saw this one coming? The folks at All Tomorrow's Parties and Portishead have joined forces to create I'll Be Your Mirror, a three-day festival that's set to run from Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 in Asbury Park, N.J. Oh, and it's going to feature the ever-elusive Jeff Mangum, who will be performing Neutral Milk Hotel songs on the first night of the event. The only other confirmed acts are for the Friday bill and they are Chavez, Shellac (!!!), Cults and the Album Leaf. The headliner for that night remains unknown and it's expected some comedians will take part in the festivities. The lineups for the Portishead-curated nights will be announced soon, though the Bristol trio will be headlining on both Saturday and Sunday.
Take note, though, only those of you who purchase three-day-weekend passes, which cost $249, will be able to attend Mangum's Friday night performance because of capacity issues. But don't fret, Mangum die-hards. Apparently he's playing a separate headlining show on Monday at the Paramount Theatre for $35. Otherwise, the Friday passes are $60 while the Saturday and Sunday passes are $99 each.
