But no, she's not a law officer. Similarly, there's New Buffalo, the name under which Sally Seltmann makes music. Seltmann is an Aussie who's sophomore album, Somewhere, Anywhere, will make it to North America via Arts and Crafts on August 28. This comes after the album has been available Down Under for quite a while now. Seltmann reportedly wrote the songs on Somewhere on a piano that has been in her family's care for a century. Even if you don't know Seltmann's own music, you've probably heard something she's done: she wrote labelmate Feist's recent lovely little single, "1234."
