Perhaps in a bid to help everyone forget a performance that has been almost universal panned, Britney Spears has released an official video for the single "Gimme More" from the forthcoming album Blackout. The album is slated for release November 13 on Jive Records, according to Reuters. On the bright side, this may drive up sales and downloads of Blackout by The Good Life.
While the single doesn't need any help on the charts ("Gimme More" is #3 on Billboard's Hot Single chart), the video will no doubt solidify the song's place in our pop culture periphery for years to come. As you know, we here at Prefix revel in embedding videos, but since Sony BMG is diligently protesting every illegal copy of the video to hit YouTube, you're on your own this time. iTunes has the video--which is largely a PG-13 stripper audition tape--for $1.99, but for that price, you can get an entire Radiohead album.
