Is Britney Spears capable of creating controversy anymore? I mean, has she even mattered to anyone in the last three years enough for them to get pissed/upset/outraged by anything she does? She's like a kid throwing a tantrum whose parents aren't paying attention, so the kid throws a ball at a lamp to try to get his parents to look at him. It's kind of sad.
But now there's a new, clearly manufactured, controversy arising over Spear's latest Circus single, "If You Seek Amy," which has a chorus that sounds exactly like "F U C K Me." A bunch of radio stations are considering not picking up the song, and others might play it because it's Spears, but mostly for people to have something to talk about in relation to what's obscene or not when it comes to songs on the radio (which hasn't happened since they started playing "I Kissed A Girl").
But honestly, none of this would have been an issue if no one at any radio station started talking about it. I bet very few impressionable kids, or their parents, knew that Britney Spears even had an album out, and that a song on said album had obscenities in it. No one cared until radio programmers started talking about it. And now it's a controversy. [Angry Ape]

This isn't even an original idea. Rolling Stone Ron Wood had a song on one of his solo albums called "F.U.C. Her." Get it? "If You See Her." The height of wit and comedy.
