New Britney Spears single could be banned from radio

Is Britney Spears capable of creating controversy anymore? I mean, has she even mattered to anyone in the last three years enough for them to get pissed/upset/outraged by anything she does? She's like a kid throwing a tantrum whose parents aren't paying attention, so the kid throws a ball at a lamp to try to get his parents to look at him. It's kind of sad.

But now there's a new, clearly manufactured, controversy arising over Spear's latest Circus single, "If You Seek Amy," which has a chorus that sounds exactly like "F U C K Me." A bunch of radio stations are considering not picking up the song, and others might play it because it's Spears, but mostly for people to have something to talk about in relation to what's obscene or not when it comes to songs on the radio (which hasn't happened since they started playing "I Kissed A Girl").

But honestly, none of this would have been an issue if no one at any radio station started talking about it. I bet very few impressionable kids, or their parents, knew that Britney Spears even had an album out, and that a song on said album had obscenities in it. No one cared until radio programmers started talking about it. And now it's a controversy. [Angry Ape]

This isn't even an original idea. Rolling Stone Ron Wood had a song on one of his solo albums called "F.U.C. Her." Get it? "If You See Her." The height of wit and comedy.

The only thing people haven't heard of is this website. The only reason I saw this is because of google alerts. On the other hand, plenty of people know that Britney has an album out seeing that her album is Platinum not only in her home country but in other countries too. :) Britney is a phenomenon and you're one of those kids that in high school put everyone down to make yourself feel better. Get a life and be positive.

I wasn't saying that no one knows the album is out, I'm saying that moms don't know it's out since they have other stuff to worry about.

the writer of the article obviously doesnt have any idea as to whats going on. no body knew about her album? Which is why it broke records, right? It was no. 1 and it sold more than 500000 copies in the first week, more than even beyonce's new album. But yea you are correct. No body knew about her album. it was all zombies that were unleashed to just snatch away all those albums off the shelves.
Comon, prefixmag, you can do better by hiring someone who is more than a mere lowlife, and can get his/her facts straight before blabbing on your site

Sean-- Circus didn't break any records I know of. It didn't even get close to beating Lil Wayne's first week sales. And I think I explained myself above.

There's still radio? But seriously, just because you disagree with someone is no reason to call them a "lowlife." Prefix is not youtube.

Blake's totally right abt the writer! Nway this article proves one thing: i'm never getting on this website again!! and prefixmag needs to hire someone less lame!!!
