New Bjork - "Earth Intruders"
This isn't a video so much as a screen saver, with the true cover of Volta (looking like a 3-D still from Yellow Submarine) reamaining motionless while the vaguely political song plays. On first listen, the Timbaland assisted backing track is a bit like a less samba "I Miss You." Perhaps it's too busy, but at least its there.
Because I don't know about the rest of you Bjork fans out there, but from my speakers, her last dose of a cappella Iniut throat singing was buh-rutal.

i just listened to this song for the first time...then many times in a row. this song will only be a hit if radio, internet and the God of Music can come together in 2007. all i can say is...timbaland is the honest reincarnation of 80's prince only, he uses bjork/justin/duran/nelly instead of appolonia and sheena. this song is perfect as a bjork song and as a timbaland production. too bad top 40 doesn't exist anymore. it reminds me of how weird 'kiss' by prince was in 1986, before it went to #1. |

I'm a HUGE Bjork fan. I've ben a fan since i first heard her shrill crooning on Regina back in the 80's. let's face it - SHE ROCKS!However, i just heard the new track "Earth Intruders" and all i can say is "WTF!?!?"It's so annoying. it's just sound like she looped a buck of tracks together and decided to just bable a bunch a giberish... "we are the earth intruders, we are the sharp shooters"... i'm can't even type this with a stright face. It's so ridiculous i'm still laughing!Let's hope this is the only "rock/pop" track on Volta, otherwise my diva might be looking for a new planet to play her "marching vodoo" songs on. |
