Well, that didn't take long. A couple of months after announcing that Arab Strap were no more, Aiden Moffat has plans to release a solo album. Admittedly, the process was probably sped along by the fact that the songs were all written before the anounced breakup(and it's not like he's never released a solo album before) but I digress.
The album, Dip, will be released under his L. Pierre moniker in the UK January 15, 2007. Here's what Moffat has to say about it: "The album had a concept from the beginning. It's theme is nature and the great outdoors, and particularly the sea, hence 'Dip', a title I stole from the movie of the artists who kindly donated the film images for the artwork."
