Scottish experimental rockers Aereogramme have announced plans to release their third full-length album on February 6, 2007. My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go, produced by the band along with Martin Doherty will be released in North America by Sonic Unyon Records. The band promises a gentler sound than was found on the Seclusion mini-album, even though this title was taken from a line in The Exorcist. The band explains: ''"It'''s a really beautiful line from the book which never made it into the screenplay surprisingly. It'''s from the first chapter as Father Merrin decides to return to America and says farewell to his friend. It'''s simply loaded with foreboding, resignation and hope - which seemed to resonate with our outlook going into this album, so it worked on a number of different levels.''" The band planning its first North American tour in four years for Spring 2007. We'll update you with more details once they're announced. In the meantime, head over to Pitchfork, for an exclusive track from the album.
