Neu! Releasing Lavish Vinyl Box Set

The sad passing of Klaus Dinger in 2008 may have ended any speculation regarding a Neu! reunion, but fans of the legendary krautrock band are in for a huge treat later this year. An impressive box set will bring together most of the Neu! material in existence, including a number of previously unreleased rarities.

Naturally, Neu!, Neu! 2, and Neu! ’75 will be included, alongside the rarely heard Neu! ’86 and an 18-minute maxi-single titled Neu! ’72. A 36-page book will also be in the package, which includes photographs by legendary rock photographer Anton Corbijn. A Neu! stencil, T-shirt, and download codes for the albums will also be thrown in.

“It was my aim to present Klaus Dinger´s musical strengths and visions just as much as my own ideas,” said Michael Rother on the remastering process. “The best musical result was to be my only guideline, not the ego. All during the emotional process of reworking our album Klaus was on my mind and I contemplated what he would think about my decisions.”
