We showed you the video for its first single a few weeks back, but now, Pharrell, Chad Hugo, and their MC pal Shay have finally confirmed what’s been rumored for a few months: the new N.E.R.D. album is out on June 10 in the U.S. (June 9 in the U.K.). It’s titled Seeing Sounds, after a condition known as synesthesia, that uh, makes sufferers able to see sounds. Plus they’ve revealed that they are staunch red gorilla supporters.

This may not seem like huge news, considering the album has had a release date for a month or so, but when Pharell is involved, release dates tend to be liquid. (The first N.E.R.D. record was shipped to reviewers, then delayed for a few months, and Pharrell’s solo disc came out months and months after the first single.) But this is apparently for real; Seeing Sounds is out on June 10.
