Glastonbury was overshadowed by Michael Jackson's death last week, and apart from Blur's triumphant reunion and everyone and their brother doing MJ covers, there hasn't been that much news regarding bad performances or feuds between artists like there was last year. One of the biggest news items is that N.E.R.D. got in a disagreement with festival organizers after they started their set late, and organizers shut down the power during the band's last song after they refused to wrap it up. Pharrell and company countered by playing without power, and then invited a bunch of people onstage and spent a lot of time at the end shaking hands with fans. The video of the post-power shutdown fracas is above.
I guess the most surprising part of this is how large an audience N.E.R.D. can pull in the U.K. There must be thousands of people there to watch them do hit jams like "Everyone Nose." [NahRight]

That is one huge, packed crowd. Cripes.
