Neon Indian Releasing ‘Era Extraña’ In September

It’s felt like a pretty long three months since we previously heard about Neon Indian’s plans to release a sophomore album this fall. But frontman Alan Palomo has broken the silence with the announcement that the record, which he’s calling Era Extraña, is dropping in September. That’s the cover art over there to your left.

Palomo produced the album himself and it apparently includes songs named “Hex Girlfriend,” “Polish Girl,” and “The Blindside Kiss,” the last of which I hope isn’t about that Sandra Bullock movie. Era Extraña serves as the follow-up to Neon Indian’s great 2009 debut, Psychic Chasms.

Era Extraña drops Sept. 13 on Static Tongues via Mom + Pop Music. You can view the album teaser below.
