Neon Indian on Daytrotter

Every once in a blue moon the blogosphere gets it right. Alan Palomo’s Neon Indian has received more than its fair share of Internet buzz in recent months, but from what we can tell the chillwave charm of Psychic Chasms is more than worthy of the attention it’s received. In fact, Neon Indian garnered the unlikely seal of approval from Ann of Breakfast at Sulimay’s fame, and, hey, it really doesn’t get better than that. The Daytrotter sessions include four tracks from the aforementioned album and they seem to benefit from having a live band (especially on drums), which presumably are members from Palomo’s old band VEGA. Check it out here. [Via: Gorilla vs. Bear, Pitchfork]

Saw VEGA opening for Grizz Bear/Beach House this summer at the Williamsburg Waterfront gig in August. meh. Palomo's Neon Indian stuff is way better.
