If there's one thing I ever imagine the U.S. and Canada ever going to war over, it's who gets to claim Neil Young. He's son in the American grain that it's hard to remember he's a Canuck.
Now his fellow Canadian musicians will help us remember that fact with a tribute album that should arrive later this summer. Artists covering Young tracks will include Emily Haines, Ron Sexsmith (didn't realize he was from up there), Finger Eleven, Chantal Kreviazuk, and the Barenaked Ladies. No word yet on which songs anyone has chosen to reinterpret.
