Neil Young Confirmed to Headline Glastonbury Festival, Fleet Foxes Added To Bill

British fans at this year’s Glastonbury Festival might feel an unfamiliar prairie wind breeze blowing by them this June, as Neil Young has been confirmed by festival organizer Michael Eavis to be the festival’s final headliner, joining known Pete Seeger devotee and Nebraska-doting Bruce Springsteen atop the bill. Eavis has also confirmed today that the Appalachian influenced Fleet Foxes have been added to the festival’s arsenal of performers, contributing to the developing Canadian-American roots atmosphere of the shows. All is not lost for those attending fans hoping to flex some U.K. pride, however, as the recently reformed Blur were confirmed last week to headline the festival. Graham Coxon & Co. have been contending to take the title of the Most British Band of All-Time away from The Kinks since their inception in 1989. [Angry Ape, Glastonbury Festivals]
