Nas Wins Emmy Award
No, unfortunately, Nas did not win an Emmy Award for his acting on Hawaii Five-0 last year. But the Nasty one apparently bagged a National Sports Emmy for producing, directing, and scoring a documentary called Survival 1, which aired on ESPN. According to the NY Post, the film "follows two amputee victims of the Liberian civil war who form a soccer team and eventually became champions." Pretty crazy that he took home an Emmy when he hasn't even won a Grammy yet, but hey, a win is a win.
Nas said the following to the NY Post:
"After all these years of making music, I am honored to have this be the first award I ever won of this magnitude. An Emmy before a Grammy. Crazy [bleep]!"
