Nas Talks 'Life Is Good'

In between working on a collaborative album with Mobb Deep and memorizing the lyrics to Illmatic, Nas is busy recording his tenth album, Life Is Good. He revealed its title late last month and here he is letting some details go, though nothing in the way of features or production. He did, however, explain that the album title stems from his wanting to celebrate the fact that, well, "life is good."

He added that it's some of his best work yet, which he later noted was his feeling on any album he releases. Life Is Good means a lot to the MC, who said that its "a piece of my blood, flesh, and bones." It's not done yet, though it's nearing completion, and he announced that the first single is called "Nasty." The song title isn't necessarily a throwback to his younger days when he was called Nasty Nas, he said, because he wants to keep moving forward. Hmm, I still bet that we hear a bit of what made so many of us go apeshit over his bars on Main Source's "Live at the Barbeque."
