TMZ is reporting that Patrick Allocco, a U.S. concert promoter for AllGood Entertainment, and his son were allegedly kidnapped after Nas failed to show up at a New Year's Eve gig in Angola. A representative for AllGood says Allocco and his son were abducted by men hired by a local "concert impresario" named Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel, who apparently put down a lot of cash (315k for Nas and opening act Jemiah Jai) to make the show happen. The kidnapping is said to have occurred at gunpoint, though it was confirmed by a representative from the U.S. Embassy in the African country that the father and son are currently "in residence" at a local hotel. Allocco released the following statement about resolving the money issue now at hand. [TMZ]
The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated.
