Napster’s Sean Parker Rumored To Be Trying To Buy Warner Music Group

Here’s one of those stories that seems like a hoax but could be true: Sean Parker, the billionaire who worked at Facebook and helped found Napster, is rumored to be part of an investment group trying to buy beleaugered music label, Warner Music Group. Parker is apparently interested in the low selling price ($2.5 billion), and the vast back catalog of music. As a plus, he would now be Metallica’s boss, which would have a certain amount of serendipity, being that Metallica helped take down Napster, and now Parker could drop Metallica from the label, if he felt like. Crazy stuff, if it’s true. [Crawdaddy]
