
A week after it slashed subscription prices by almost $60, and it was announced that its users were leaving in droves, Napster has cut its “Napster on Campus” program which offered students and faculty at certain U.S. universities a discounted rate. The company is now offering new users 50 free MP3’s just for signing up for the $70 a month service.
The company has struggled since it switched to a pay service, and it has failed to take users from iTunes. [Coolfer]
