Nachtmystium & Wolves In the Throne Room play free show in L.A. for non-Jews
You know how metal bands are accused of being anti-Christian? That’s officially bullshit. Metal’s got it in for Jews from Los Angeles. There’s simply no other explanation for this prolonged series of Jew-unfriendly scheduling oversights. In 2007, Ministry and Meshuggah played two dates in Los Angeles during Passover. This April, the L.A. Murderfest was scheduled over Passover weekend. Now we get news that Nachtmystium and Wolves in the Throne Room -- two of black metal’s brightest (darkest?) lights -- are playing a free Scion show at L.A.'s Knitting Factory on October 8th, the same night as Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year. While we yids enter into a day of fasting and repentance, those less Semitically-encumbered will be rockin’ out to a badass metal show. Sometimes I curse my faith.
