Mystery ailment causes more Van Halen cancellations

The reunion tour that Van Halen fans have been waiting years to see was dealt another blow. David Lee Roth and company will postpone all shows through April 19 while lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen undergoes tests for an unspecified medical condition. This latest wave of postponements affects seventeen total shows, including an April 15 show in Baltimore that had already been rescheduled from last week’s initial cancellations. According to concert organizers, Van Halen, who has overcome cancer and fought substance abuse in the past,  “is currently under a doctor’s care” and “will continue medical tests to define a course of treatment.” No further details were released. Fans are being asked to keep tickets to the original shows, which will be honored at to be announced make-up dates. [Reuters]
