I wonder what Shara Worden of My Brightest Diamond thinks of the rise of Becky Stark of Lavender Diamond. I wonder if she worries people will get the two bands confused. It would be understandable. Besides the jewel-named similarity, both bands feature charming, observational, classical-leaning lead songstresses.
So let's get this straight: this post is about My Brightest Diamond. Worden and the rest of the band will play the Bowery Ballroom in New York City at the end of this month. In July, after heading to Spain for a festival appearance, My Brightest Diamond will return to these shores to tour with Rasputina before traveling back to Europe.
