My Bloody Valentine to Play Secret Show at El Rey in Los Angeles Tomorrow Night

Unpack your sleeping bags and pitch the tents, because My Bloody Valentine are going to be playing a Pre-Coachella warm-up show at the El Ray Theatre in Los Angeles on April 16, 2009. For those keeping score at home, yes, that is tomorrow night. (Go. Get in the car and drive right now. Goodbye.) While the band’s management has not officially confirmed the show, tickets are now available to be purchased courtesy of your friends at My Bloody Valentine at El Ray Theatre">Ticketmaster. Acts playing at Coachella are usually prohibited from playing any shows in the Los Angeles area in the days leading up to the festival, but the rules have been bent for headliners like Portishead and The Jesus And Mary Chain in the past. The cover price for a ticket is $38, but with the standard and totally non-bullshit Ticketmaster “convenience” fees, seeing Kevin Shields bend sound and time in a “You Made Me Realise” apocalypse is going to cost you around $50. Doors open at 8:00 PM - be there and hold eternal bragging rights. [NME, The Scenestar via LA Weekly]
