Those Brits keep one-upping us on the My Bloody Valentine reunion. First they get to see the reformed band three months ahead of U.S. fans. Then the U.S. hits back with the inaugural ATP New York festival. But now the Brits have gone one better by scheduling two intimate My Bloody Valentine shows at the ICA in London. It’s official: the Shoegazer Wars have begun, and I’m not going to rest easy until we’ve ripped Kevin Shields’ gold plated tremolo arm from his guitar and declared it a national monument.

U.K. fans can get an early taste of the band at the two shows, which take place on Friday and Saturday this week.  Le Volume Courbe will open the second show, while the first show just features My Bloody Valentine.
