MV & EE rev up the Drone Trailer

Let's make sure all the hippies-come-lately get one thing straight up front -- Matt Valentine has been spearheading the acid-folk revival since 1995, when his band Tower Recordings made their debut, and you were still sorting out your first dial-up account. So when he and cohort Erika Elder come around with a new album as MV & EE, dripping with late-'60s/early-'70s-inspired, psychedelic-leaning folk-rock goodness, you'd best believe they've got the goods to back it up.

The hairy pair's Drone Trailer is set to see the light of day on January 20, courtesy of DiCristina Stairbuilders. Backed by the Golden Road (and with this crowd, there's an excellent chance that name references the Grateful Dead's similarly named 1967 single), Valentine and Elder will also be hitting the road throughout January and February, spreading the paisley-tinged forest-folk vibe far and wide.
