Muxtape temporarily erased

Justin Oulette’s online mixtape site is currently displaying the following message:

“Muxtape had a database problem this afternoon and we're fixing it now. Check the blog for updates. If we're not back by dawn, call the president.”

The blog indicates that each Muxtape should be restored to its former glory when the site reemerges. The cause of the problem seems unclear. Oulette speculates that it could have been an accident, while Wired suggests problems with a hacker. Apparently “Good Disease” by Aim replaced every song on the service when Muxtape initially went down. Which either indicates a hacker was involved or there’s been an audacious viral marketing campaign conducted by Aim’s label.

Anxious Muxtape addicts could amuse themselves by listening to John Cage’s “4’ 33” or John Lennon’s “Two Minutes Silence” while they wait for the site to go back up.

This site is great, but I'm surprised the labels and/or RIAA haven't tried shutting it down yet.
