Glenn Beck's* favorite band, Muse, have been hotly rumored as one of the headliners for next year's Coachella. It doesn't seem like a bad pick; Muse are huge and they stink, so they fit in with the Killers pick this year. Pavement are also rumored to be headlining, which would obviously be better. [Stereogum]
*- He is the worst, obviously
"Muse are huge and they stink, so they fit in with the Killers pick this year."
Yes, that is why Muse is consistently rated as the best live act, because they stink. And comparing them to the Killers? Do you actually listen to music or just look up names of popular bands and pretend you've listened to them and dislike them so you can feel cool? From all of your articles I've read, you strike me as someone who likes a band until they become popular and financially successful, then you turn into a hater. Really, you just come across as someone who likes to think they're too cool to like music that other people like. If you dislike these bands so much, why do you bother to even write about them?

Muse stinks...hmmm.
what do you like then? some noisy, dirty indie band that no one's heard of? Muse's raw talent surpasses pretty much any other band out there today and their live act is rated above any.
nah you're cool dude

Who is it, exactly, doing all this rating of live acts? And what criteria goes into it exactly? I just find it curious that two people jump to their defense, but neither actually claim to like Muse, and instead rest on some anonymous, faceless rating somewhere to back up their point. I don't care about Muse one way or another (although the connection between them and the Killers is an unearned and boring pretention, guys) but come on, if you're going to sling the web vitriol, at least make us believe you like the band you're defending. Wait a minute...are you guys label reps?
muse sucks!!! come on coachella. lets see the rolling stones. they're rumored to be on tour 2010!!!
