Seattle rockers Mudhoney have never strayed far from the punky garage blueprint they laid down some 20 years ago. To celebrate two decades in flannel, Mark Arm and co. are reissuing the classic Superfuzz Bigmuff EP in expanded form, and taking part in Sub Pop’s own 20-year shenanigans at the SP20 festival in July.
The album includes the memorably gnarly “Sweet Young Thing Ain’t Sweet No More” and, of course, the anthemic “Touch Me I’m Sick.” A few genuine curios in the shape of demo tracks and a live show recorded in Berlin, as well as familiar singles such as “You Got It (Keep It Outta My Face),” also feature.
To complete the celebrations, the grunge legends are touring and releasing a new record, The Lucky Ones, which is due to hit shelves on the same date as the Superfuzz reissue--May 20. Full details below:
