MTV Names Wale The 10th Hottest MC In The Game

Well, what with the whole fiasco of MTV's Hottest Emcees in the Game list, hip-hop heads seem more inclined to trash it rather than anticipate the rankings, and with the announcement of Wale being the 10th "Hottest" from the list of twenty-five nominees, there should be plenty of discussion.

To break it down, Wale did pull in a decent year with his Maybach Music Group debut; Ambition might not have lived up to expectations, but his Eleven One Eleven Theory mixtape certainly lit some fire. No, we didn't see the hoped-for third installment of his Nothing tape series, but that was something of a pipe dream anyway. Though he's only pushed 374K units of his Maybach debut, a number one slot on the Billboard charts speaks plenty, so I'd say Wale's deserving of some cred here, at least until we see what the rest of the list looks like.
